"With Liberty and Access for All"MichiganMichigan Disability Rights Coalition is celebrating 25 years of advocacy on behalf of persons with disabilities. MDRC encourages other agencies in their support and education of persons with disabilities to help integrate them into society. Current initiatives include support for nursing home diversion and offering current nursing home residents the option of returning to the community with supports, giving dignity and saving taxpayers an average of $28,000 per person. Nelson works with five counties in cataloging and fostering development of affordable/accessible housing.
